If I could vote zero stars I would. They told me my take out order would be ready in 40 min and it took an hour and 15 min. The shrimp were cold and small and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.

Had the shrimp and oyster combo market plate. Both the shrimp and oysters were delicious! Market by the Bay is my go to for fresh local seafood.

I heard about this place years ago but by me commuting from mobile it was hard to stop..Well after having the stomach flu for a few days and making it thur the hard part, I saw the green building couldn't resist myself any longer, I needed substance..I ordered the famous gumbo in the pint size to go.. It was amazingly good I appreciate the woman that help me with my order I hope she was the owner! Lol Thanks again for a great meal and hospitality will be coming back soon

I absolutely love the people at Market By the Bay, and I love the food even more!!! The staff is always so kind and thorough and the food never disappoints no matter which direction you go. The gumbo is a must but who knew the burger was drool worthy and even the fish tacos are killer! Any way you feel like going this is the place!

Everything they make is always delicious. I stop in frequently to grab a bowl of gumbo to go. The staff is always friendly, we were there for my daughter's birthday and the owner walked by and was so impressed that a kid wanted gumbo for her birthday that he gave all of us a free dessert.

Best most affordable seafood in Daphne and the Easter Shore. Fresh seafood, great prices and casual atmosphere. The owner and his family works here, they are all extremely nice, and will greet you at your table like you are a regular. The gumbo is outstanding (their chicken fingers are great too). I got the 9.99 half shrimp poboy and gumbo. Gumbo was great! Shrimp was fried perfectly and the bread was perfectly fresh and toasty. The ordering process is a little odd as you have to enter on the right side to place your order then step outside to go and sit on the left side of the building. They bring you food to you so it isn’t an issue but it feels funny the first time.

Our first time trying this restaurant, so I will start with a positive -- the portion sizes were generous on the combo platter. However, the food was very bland and the fish was NOT local and wild caught seafood. You could tell it was farm raised, just not what I expect from a local seafood restaurant on the coast. Very disappointed as our experience did not measure to a lot of the other reviews.

I just moved into the area and was looking for a local mom & pop seafood restaurant with fresh, delicious and affordable food. I found it!!! Market By The Bay is exactly what I was hoping to find. I highly recommend this local (Daphne, AL) seafood market and restaurant. I jumped right in with the seafood platter and market soft shell crab dinners and I also ordered the onion rings. All was super fresh, and delicious! I really enjoyed the onion rings also. The only minus was the extra lemon I received was a bit old and not real fresh, otherwise I would have rated this place with 5 stars. Very pleasant folks and great service. So close to perfect!

The gumbo was delicious, full of crab and shrimp. The shrimp poboy was stuffed with quite tasty shrimpys. I am a particular fan of their hush puppies and the potato salad is to my liking, perhaps a little wet for other people. Service is fast and friendly.

If you're wanting seafood in the Baldwin County area this is your best bet everything was fried perfectly grilled correctly tasted amazing and fresh.

The food is fabulous and the employees are friendly. It's quite clean and they have a pretty good selection of fresh seafood for sale that is brought in regularly. I will definitely be returning to this store when I'm in Alabama again.

This seems to be a pretty good place for fresh seafood, but they have a real issue with not giving you what you order. I placed an order for two dinners, one they got correct, the other was a fish dinner instead of a shrimp dinner. I learned the hard way that you need to open your order and verify that it is correct before leaving. The elderly lady that takes the order does not do a good job entering the orders correctly. If I go back in the future, I will verify the order prior to leaving the deli.

Always a great experience. Had gumbo and a burger(i know iknow, burger at a seafod joint? Thats what I said until i saw it) like the last 2 trips but I promise to try the shrimp salad next time.
